Transporting Your Cat

When bringing your cat to Park Pet Hospital, we recommend that he/she be housed in a carrier for their own safety and comfort. When choosing a carrier, look for one that open from both the front and the top. This configuration of a kennel allows us to remove your pet from the carrier with ease for our veterinarian to perform a complete examination.

At home, keep the kennel out and the door open to your pet. Placing treats, toys and comfortable bedding inside may entice your cat to wander in and begin to view the carrier as a safe haven. When the carrier becomes your cat’s own personal space, he/she will feel more secure and therefore will make future traveling in a carrier less stressful.
